Button Frames

My sister-in-law and I had fun making button frames tonight.

Mouse Cookie

Megan and I made these cookies. We made our own version based on one we had seen that my Mother-in-law was given.

Here are the parts:
Base: Oreo cookie with the top cookie taken off
Mouse Body: Maraschino cherry (no pits) dipped in chocolate (if it has the stem on it then use the stem as a tail.)
Tail: piece of licorice (the pull apart kind)
Head: Hershey's kiss
Ears: mini marshmallows cut into small pieces
Eyes: icing dotted on with toothpicks
Snow: sprinkle with icing sugar

We had lots of fun making these and then we placed them on the table at Christmas at each place setting. This one shown with the baby mouse (the body was a mini marshmallow dipped in chocolate) was for my sister-in-law, who had just had a baby.

Quilted Christmas Table Topper

I quilted this table topper for my Mom for Christmas. My Mother-in-law helped me with this one and the table runner below.

My December Quilting Projects

This is the table runner I quilted for my sister-in-law. I added the old buttons to the end blocks as a special touch.
