I-C-E H-O-T-E-L in QC

This was definitely the highlight of our trip. It was phenomenal!

They build the fireplaces in some of the suites; however, they are built so that the heat escapes. It only makes the room about 5 degrees warmer. It adds atmosphere though.

The main entrance. The ice actually has a blue colour to it and it has to do with the water they use.

The theme for the whole hotel this year was biodiversity. There are 36 hotel rooms there you can rent. The more expensive suites are all decorated within this theme.

This is the front of the chapel where people can get married. The chapel was filled with ice benches covered in furs.

One of the main rooms with their impressive key piece - the chandelier and some tree pillars.

The bar where you can buy drinks in ice glasses.

This is part of another bar area where you can buy apple cider, hence the apple blossom of the wall. Check out the beautifully carved ice chair.

Cake Decorating Course

I'm taking a cake decorating course for beginners.
Here are my first 3 cakes:

Cake # 3 : A baby theme cake where the booties are made from cupcakes

Cake # 2 : A spring cake to practice learning some flowers
(My icing was too soft this week so my details weren't as defined as I would have liked.)
Cake #1 : A Valentine's Day cake to learn control with star tipping
